Napa Valley · Appellation
Oakville
Established in 1993 on the same day as neighboring Rutherford, Oakville sits at the valley's geographic heart, its soils shifting from rust-red, volcanic-flecked gravel along the eastern benches to deep, dark loam at the valley center. It is home to the historic To Kalon vineyard, planted by H.W. Crabb in 1868, and remains devoted overwhelmingly to a Cabernet Sauvignon considered among California's benchmarks.
